The Lake House

For the last couple of nights, I have seen the movie - The Lake House. It is a really great movie about love, life and the journeys that life takes you on. I also feel that it is about how love grows when two people meet and how it grows through trials and tribulations.

The other night J was being so romantic and it reminded me of why I love him so much. It also brought up a post that LL of Lagliv had made on polygamy. The third paragraph is pretty much how I feel about J and our life. I could not imaging living with any one else despite all the issues that some how find there way into our life.

Life is about trusting the one that you choose, disagreeing when necessary, standing on your own and making sure that the hill you choose to die on is worth it. Communication is the key to every relationship whether it is your marriage, your friends, your boss or any of the many people that you come in contact with on a daily basis.

Our House - Selling

Another topic that has kept me busy over the last couple of weeks, has been selling our house! Well, we finally think that it is going to happen. We have a signed contract, an inspection soon and then we move on to closing! We think that these people really like the house and we hope that they will love it as much as we do. I also hope they complete the transaction ~

If they do, then we will move on to a new adventure in a new place! It will be better for everyone in our house. Good thoughts for the next step in this process.

Houses, Kids, Life in general

Yes, I am blogging when I should be sleeping. I am blogging cause I have more house cleaning to do before I can sleep. See, procrastination at its best. I also need to go to the bank, mail a baby shower gift, purchase a baby shower gift, pick up the 4 legged children.... Wow, I may have my own 101 things to do in 1001 hours!

I also owe this blog and the few people that read this, pictures of last Saturday. Notice if you will the smile on my face and my happy feet! They were oh, so happy until someone thought that feeding 800 people could be accomplished through a buffet line with no order. We were told that we all needed to get up and get in line. For 45 minutes, I stood in line. In a line that moved very little and in a line that everyone thought to cut in front of me. Now, that isn't such a bad thing but I have boobs, big ones at that. How embarrassing is it to bump into a Major or Colonel in front of you?! Well, my supportive husband got a snicker or two out of it but I drew the line. I was NOT wearing a sign that said, cut through at my spot. See the line that we choose to stand in was the wrong line. It was the line that snaked in front of the beer truck. Everyone wanted a beer and those who didn't wanted the wine or the water that was on the other side of the beer truck. Believe me, if we hadn't had to drive home that night and be wonderfully on our best behavior for his command, I might have engaged in a beer or two.

Dinner was great if you count the 4 small potatoes and 6 green beans, I was served. The meat was good along with the horseradish sauce. It was divine!

Last Saturday was great. It was a lot of fun, we made great contacts and I even won a great Christmas present! My silver shoes went perfect with my blue dress. Although by the end of the night, my feet hurt. No blisters but just pressure points. Well, the rest of my work is calling me so that I can go to bed.

This evening, I put up blinds, cleaned the floor, changed the bed linens and washed the old ones, deposited money into my account (gotta love online banking!) and am updating this page. I do need to sleep at some point, I have a 6:50 am appt downtown.
