One item at a time .... Ace

Since I haven't posted an update in a bit, I am going to try my best to post on a topic of interest for the last couple of weeks.

The first thing that has happened in the last two weeks is that my oldest boxer, Ace - had to have a keratotomy since he had a corneal abrasion. Poor thing has to wear his helmet aka the e-collar for the next 3 weeks. He has to be supervised when he eats and drinks because he cant dislodge his contact. yes, Ace has a contact! Now, my 15 year old finds this very unfair. He doesnt understand how a dog who cant be responsible for himself can have contacts but he cant.

Well, my reasoning was that my 15 cant remember to do what he needs to do, so how would he remember to take care of his contacts?!

Hopefully this will fix Ace's issues. He has had one tough life but he has been very loved and we hope he sticks around to enjoy it some more.

On contacts for a 15 year old. My Mom had the best solution for that. I had to earned the money for the first set. It was hard but it was well worth it plus I had to replace any I lost. It only took once and I learned that I certainly didn't want to go back to glasses again.

Life. Complicated. said...

We tried that but he couldnt save for the hamster. I am not sure how he is going to save for the contacts! LOL!
