Kids. You know, small people. Has anyone ever heard the "knock, knock" at just about the worst time ever? It happens. Around my house, though, it happens. A. lot. So, last night after an intense night of Wii, DH and I went to get ready for bed and some light Wii'ing before night night. Well, you know what happened next....
Adult moment
knock. knock.
Dad?
knock. knock (louder)
K?
Me: Just a moment.
I GOT the highest score yet! You and Dad need to see it.
Me: Okay honey. We will be out in just a moment.
In less than 5 minutes?
Me: We will be right out
(what seemed entirely too short a time)
knock. knock.
Helllo!
knock. knock (louder)
Me: Just a minute
You said that a bit ago. Are you coming out?!
Me: Yes honey. We will be right out.
You already said that.
Me: count to 5 and the door shall open
I am waiting. waiting. waiting.
And such is the life of parents with children living at home. But, just to be clear, I wouldnt trade them for the world!

Truthfully I think the older they get the more frequently it happens. Their timely is not also the best.
He is old enough now to understand the cowboy hat on the door handle signal, isn't he?
lol - well, at least he can be assured that you guys are going for any high scores while he is around to see to it!
