I have two new goals which I am speeding toward.
1. Weight Loss - I am still trying to lose weight. I have been trying to loose weight for a long time. I made the observation that I am about 10 pounds away from what I was in Sept 2004. To aid in my goal attainment, I am going to start a work out tape - The Shred. A bunch of my online friends are trying it. I dont buy into the whole loose 20 pounds in 30 days but I do think that if I do it for 3-4 days a week that I might loose 5 or so pounds in that time frame.
The girls check in on each other every Friday. As you all can track with me, I have a picture of my goals to the left. I would love to loose the whole weight so that I can be a healthier person for when we get pregnant.
2. Pass the PMP Exam - I am scheduled to take the exam on the Sept 4th. I start studying in earnest this week. I have exactly 4 weeks to study and learn all that I can about how they do the test. I need to pass this test. I need to pass this test for me and for work. Will I get anything for doing it for work, nope. But it has been on my goal list for several years and I need to achieve it. I know I know the material and I know that I will pass it. I just have classic anxiety leading up to a test that has cost me several thousands to prepare for.
So, updates to come.

End of a Long Week
Well, it is finally the end of a long year and a long week. Update on my stepson - He is back at home with us and is adjusting. We are working on getting back into a groove, trying to figure out what we are doing with school, clothes shopping and just trying to get back into family mode.
I am sure this is still part of the honeymoon and the teenager I know and love will show himself shortly :)
So, Jeanie asked me about my 1001 goals. Well, I am working on them. I have about 75 of them and need to finish the list and then to post it. It just seems that life is getting in the way but I need to incorporate life into my goals.
The issues with parental kidnapping are so hard on everyone concerned. As much as I dont like what she did, I have to live with it, clean it up and deal with the after effects. I am also sure that she is hurting in all of this but she needs to get help and not involve her child in her issues. I am sure as a noncustodial mother, it is hard. I know several mothers who are noncustodial but I dont think any of them would go to the lengths that she did. Not a one of them would keep a child out of school or blame them for thier actions.
There are also issues with how the system addresses situations like this. In our case, everyone seemed to pass the buck - even the man in the robe. I want to do something to help other people in this situation. No one should have to go through this kind of stuff with parents who believe they are above the law.
I am so ready for 2008 to be a much better year for my entire family.

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is less than a week away! I have called and invited most of the family with the exception of those people who's numbers I dont have. But I am pretty sure they are going to come anyway. They always do and we love having them! I have made my list for the grocery store and now I need to clean out my fridge to contain the food.
I am not taking any time off this week as Tyler is not home like he is supposed to be (will update that in another post) and J is working TWTH this week. So, when I get home on Wednesday, I will need to start baking and cooking. Speaking of baking, I told my mother that I would make a pie for Thanksgiving, from scratch. For some reason, she doesnt seem to believe me. Really, I used to be a good baker - I just dont bake for me to eat. I dont like sweets. Yes, you read that right. I dont like sweets. I can make them but I dont eat them.
Also, my BIL was married this past weekend in a small ceremony in Tn. My MIL sent pictures to J, she is a beautiful bride. I wish them much happiness and success. Hopefully we will get to meet them during the holidays.
Now, by Thanksgiving, I need to have my 101 list done. EEK! I dont think I am anywhere close so I have to go, go, go.
Well, back to life - See you around!
